Incubus

Incubus

Incubus was one of the most popular bands of the nu metal movement, and although they were not musically similar to bands such as Korn and Limp Bizkit, they were inadvertently often lumped in with that crowd, despite the fact that their music was often far more melodic and interesting than most of the nu metal bands of that time. The band is also unusual for its use of a DJ.

DJ Kilmore supplies the band with more of a balanced soundscape as well as expanding the group’s musical palette. The band eventually sued Sony for improper accounting records (one of many bands trying to find out why record labels seemed to get the best of the economic situation). Out of the many nu metal bands, Incubus was one of the more interesting of the bands that added rap and noise to metal.
