SHOTGUN MESSIAH

SHOTGUN MESSIAH (1988–93). Zinny J. San (vocals), Harry K. Cody (guitar), Tim Skold (bass), and Stixx Galore (drums). One of the most talented bands to come out of Sweden in the eighties, Shotgun Messiah took their shot in the days of hair metal and couldn’t quite get the break that they deserved. The band is comprised of vocalist Jens Kidmand, who mostly sings in English, along with bassist Dick Lovgran, and drummer Tomas Haake. The intricacy of Meshuggah’s music and its quick and abrupt Read more [...]
EUROPE

EUROPE

EUROPE (1983–PRESENT). Joey Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitar), John Leven (bass), Michael Michaeli (keyboards), Ian Haughland (drums). Best known for their pretentiously dramatic, Rocky-like hit, “The Final Countdown,” and their particularly photogenic countenances, Europe’s classic sound featured keyboards and was a combination of prog-rock and pop influences. The group’s roots were in their native Sweden where founding members Joey Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitars), and John Read more [...]
